The last day was running and i wanted to finish the winter season with an exciting experience after the last powderruns. Therefore, we hiked down about 150 meters into the Hintertux glacier and regarded it from below. Beside various touristic trash and skiing stuff (like cigarettes, bottles and poles) we could reach caves and crevasses which were illuminated beautiful multicoloured! click here>>

Flo and Bobby build this pole jam on the top of the kaunertal glacier during the running spring classics. The landing was the corner compared to the pole which was really hard to manage! Flo sticked some pretty tricks after a few attempts in vain and made me happy about that much creativity that i kept digital. Nice session, thanks buddy! Flo had great fun click here>>

The snowboarding season almost ended and the serfaus shrimping shapers invested their hole creativity on obstacles for some last sessions. Flo invited me for a visit at stomping ground oberinntal which i accepted pleased.
Day oneprime;s agenda was about shredding the jib section and the next day dominated by riding the huge kicker. We had a nice time again with funny people and really good shots. Thanks to all attendant guys!

Last station of our two and a half weeks overseas trip has been whistler mountains. We had perfect conditions again and combined powder with parkriding in the mix. The most impressive thing was the new world record-breaking peak 2 peak gondola from whistler roundhouse lodge straight to blackcomb rendevouz, we just call it park 2 park gondola. The journey between the two mountains provides a 360-degree window into whistler blackcombprime;s alpine environment, its surrounding peaks, changing seasons and wildlife habitat. It was so amazing!

The longest part of our roadtrip-puzzle was from mt. hood over to whistler whereupon we passed portland, seattle and the canadian border. We enjoyed a short shopping & sightseeing break in vancouver and got back on track soon by reason of ugly weather.

We passed through the mountains and over the columbia river to our next destination down in the south, the legendary mt. hood meadows, oregon. We arrived at night with profitable snowfalls that just stopped at noontime next day, so we picked up our solid outerwear and had another perfect powderday - jehaw!

After a good time at mt. baker we drove straight to the unknown location stevens pass due to recommendations of some locals. The last days were freeriding days so we decided to spend some time on parkriding and the snowpark was really nice to shred. The hidden resort stevens pass was a complete success for us. Thanks to the locals suggestion!

Next stage of our journey to the states has been seattle airport where our chartered mobile home waited for us to travel to mt baker. The first impression in the morning were snowfalls from last night mixed by morning sunbeams, so another great powderday at a gorgeous resort started. Further on, we visited the legendary mt. baker snowboardshop with its own hall of fame that stoked us by amounts of handsignated pictures from all the international snowboardlegends and the worlds best riders. It gave us the heebie jeebies!

One of my lifetime dreams - of course every snowboarders dream - came true, one week heliboarding in valdez alaska with H2O Guides. We were well received by great snowfalls after a long trip overseas and the forecast told us more powder. After two downdays we started the first trip with the ghettobird due to dozens of fresh powder and best weather followed by 4 more rock′n′roll days out in the ak mountains. Awesome trip!

The last Tourstop for this season got me to Warth at Vorarlberg that started off on the wrong foot because my copilot butchered up the navigation. The upshot was that we encountered the seasonally closed pass to warth, a uturn that enlarged our journey another 1,5 hours. However, we spend a really good time over there with a high level contest, a pretty apresski party and beautiful backcountry snowboarding on sunday. The weather conditions at CaD tourstop schmittenhoehe were the worst I ever had to handle. Due to solid snowfalls, icy wind and not at least really low temperatures, it worked my fingers to the bone! The basics for the big kickerline at the Betterpark in Ehrwald are made by snowmachines which produce suspicious snowcreatures at the beginning of each season. The Pleasure Jam ran down and my rollinprime; journey took me to the Kitzsteinhorn for the atomic catalogue shooting. Accommodation for these days was the national sports center at 2500 meters sea level which was simultaneously the base for our photosessions. Erwin Polanc on his search for a spot below the Kitz summit at 3200 meters.

Another roadtrip got me to the beautiful Traunsee in upper austria where James Young waited for me. He was on a trip through germany and i was pleased to take some sponsoring shots for Jetpilot with him. It was really amazing because the guys from the lake recieved me with two huge monster boats, one for the rider and the other for me to shoot from. I got one special shot in frame which is shotten directly out of the tube in the back of the boat, i almost touched James during focusing! Big up to James and Ralf, but especially to Kaili and the KGB Company for all the possibilities!

The next stop for my winter vs. summer story was the Ehrwald Mountain near Garmisch. The 2009 season′s Waterski Masterships happened to take place at my homecable Kiefersfelden. Most impressive act were the Waterskipilots which got kicked out up to 60 Meters far by a 1,80 ramp and an inrun speed about 100km/h, watch out click here>>. Finally there was a waterskipyramide show including my two buddies Lil Miez and U-Man that made a great figure in it!

The Thulba Waterpark is very accessable for every kind of german states and cities so the jetpilot leaders chose this nice place for the Teamshooting 2009. Tobi Rittig is the youngest cable guy that runs a german waterpark so a perfect organization was guaranteed. I′ve never been there before so due to this I decided to get there one day earlier to get myself an all over impression to look for the nicest spots for shooting. Big up to all helpers, friends, riders and not at least to Ralf from Jetpilot for the organization of some really nice days out there!!!

On the road through Northern Germany we explored the area by bike. While cruising across Flensburg we suddenly saw a signboard "Denmark 1km", and so we rode absolute unexpected over the frontier. Normally I traverse across the boundary of Germany and Austria, but now I crossed one in the north of Germany, yeah. We also made a tour to St. Peter Ording.

We made a little roadtrip across Germany during the summer holidays. After the first stop in Berlin we drove towards the germany′s baltic coast. We hadn′t got an exactly idea where we want to go the next time and so we drove from Luebeck in a northward direction along the coast. We were in the search of a hotel, where we could rest, but it was very dfficult, because it rained very hard! After some houres and quite a few kilometres we were frustrated, because we didn't find a place too sleep. My last hope was to drive too Damp at the waterskilift and there we asked the locals for help. And they didn't disappointed us, Christoph pulled out his mobile and only a few calls later we had an accommodation. We only wanted to stay one or two days but it was a beautiful location and so we stayed for one week. At the end of may Benny and me made the same roadtrip like Dezember last year (see below 12.12.2008). I only wanted to see how the spots look like in sommer and afterwards I compared them with the photos I made in winter. At the same time I wanted to find some new locations, where I could shred, but this was quite difficult.

My next location was the waterpark Aschheim because my Homie Mr. Dominator aka Pink Nik aka Dominik Guehrs needed some Portraitshots for his Sponsors. My idea was a shooting from a very spectacular perspective, so we climbed up on the 8 meter high traverse of the cable machinery to realise this. The small focus while looking through the seeker of my camera added with my fear of heights made me feel really sick. Finally the pics are great, i came back to the ground alife and everybody had fun this day but me. click here>>

Spring Session at the Kaunertal Glacier was my final job for the 08/09 winterseason. The main difference to the years before was the kind of my job. This year i shooted catalogue pictures for outerwear and snowboardstuff 2010. We had a whole week with perfect sun to shoot all the stuff and enough fresh powder for a smile on our faces after droppin in... Big up to the organizator, thanx a lot and see ya next!!!

The Swinging Spring Series at Novapark in the montafon was the next job i accepted, so i cruised to the eastern alps for the second time this season. Back in my living room Tyrol i stranded at the pitztal glacier. After one week of huge snowfall we had tons of powder around us, but in case of stormy winds the glacier resort opended just two pancake lifts. My friends Korny and Ole welcomed us and due to the shity weather we switched our location to the Riffelsee Mountains. We hiked the hole day and most of these hikes were fun. Others were not...you can see me break in a small ditch while cleaning my lenses with a huge smile in my face! click here>>

My last journey for now was to Lenzerheide in Switzerland, where i haven′t been for years. I visited two old friends of mine, Susan and Marco. They arrived one week earlier and so they had all the impressions and knowledge about the location there. With bluebird and fresh pow we started to the backcountry at Rothorn on Saturday morning and kicked powder runs till we were exhausted. Last energy on Sunday was spend in the park with a lot of chilling. I had a really good time over there and left the location with a crying and a laughing eye. Thanx a lot Susan and Marco!

The Hocheck near Oberaudorf has the longest floodlight run in germany and its near Munich so you can reach the spot in about an hour. That was more than a reason for us to take an afterwork trip out there and get an impression of the location. We were welcomed by sick dump and we were stoked by afterwork powder runs. Our next trip took us into the middle of nowhere near Fischbachau, not a regular place to go snowboarding. This location is the backyard of the Markhausers′ farm where three guys build their own shred by wood they take out of their own forest during summer. Heise got an enourmous set up out there but see yourself. They gave us the opportunity to jib and shoot there. In the peak of the season i got an invitation to spend a weekend at the beautiful Spitzingsee/Schliersee Mountains for shredding with some locals there. We celebrated the Bavarian traditions with delicious lunches and a few beers! click here>>

One advantage of Munich is, that you are quickly in the mountains. So you can go snowboarding after a stressful workday, to relax. We were pleased about going powdern with floodlights, because it snowed all the day. Nic said his opinion about snow guns. click here>>

Finally the winter is back! After there was much snow at the weekend, the Thursday was the best! Within of 24 hours the snow was falling on an average of 60cm snow. On Wednesday the meteorologists said that there would be Bluebird and so I decided to not go to work, to go powdern. When I saw the kicker, which was full of snow and looked virgin, I good the idea to use it for some good pictures. But this time not for some action pictures, but for an atmospheric picture. click here>>
After I had fun on the mountain, I looked forward to meet my friend Nic in the evening at Munich. He chose some locations, where we could make some action photos. We tested all the places and decided us on the Maximilianeum (state parliament of Bavaria). Pug Dora posed for us in different outfits. That was the first try to take some fashion photos with a dog. That was a hard work, because young pugs have their own mind and they are very active dogs. That means, that they disobey to their master and they run constant out of the photo to go playing. But the shape of Dora isn′t the best, so after one our her battery was empty and she slept very well. It was very funny and we could take some good pictures. click here>>

Watersports Jansen Photoshooting for Jetpilot and Obrien. This event was planed very spontaneous, within of two weeks Ralf could fetch all team riders from Germany to Bavaria, to take some catalogue pictures for the new Obrien boards and the Jetpilot clothes 2009. The blasting of the 50 years old AGFA building. That was the most spectacular blasting in Munich, because buildings must not blow up within the middle. The building was 52 m tall and so it was impossible to clear it away, because of the dust and noise pollution and therefore they blew it up carefully with 125 kg explosive. click here>>

The last day was running and i wanted to finish the winter season with an exciting experience after the last powderruns. Therefore, we hiked down about 150 meters into the Hintertux glacier and regarded it from below. Flo and Bobby build this pole jam on the top of the kaunertal glacier during the running spring classics. The landing was the corner compared to the pole which was really hard to manage! The snowboarding season almost ended and the serfaus shrimping shapers invested their hole creativity on obstacles for some last sessions. Flo invited me for a visit at stomping ground oberinntal which i accepted pleased.
Day oneprime;s agenda was about shredding the jib section and the next day dominated by riding the huge kicker. We had a nice time again with funny people and really good shots. Thanks to all attendant guys!

Last station of our two and a half weeks overseas trip has been whistler mountains. We had perfect conditions again and combined powder with parkriding in the mix. The most impressive thing was the new world record-breaking peak 2 peak gondola from whistler roundhouse lodge straight to blackcomb rendevouz, we just call it park 2 park gondola. The journey between the two mountains provides a 360-degree window into whistler blackcombprime;s alpine environment, its surrounding peaks, changing seasons and wildlife habitat. It was so amazing!

The longest part of our roadtrip-puzzle was from mt. hood over to whistler whereupon we passed portland, seattle and the canadian border. We enjoyed a short shopping & sightseeing break in vancouver and got back on track soon by reason of ugly weather.

We passed through the mountains and over the columbia river to our next destination down in the south, the legendary mt. hood meadows, oregon. We arrived at night with profitable snowfalls that just stopped at noontime next day, so we picked up our solid outerwear and had another perfect powderday - jehaw!

After a good time at mt. baker we drove straight to the unknown location stevens pass due to recommendations of some locals. The last days were freeriding days so we decided to spend some time on parkriding and the snowpark was really nice to shred. The hidden resort stevens pass was a complete success for us. Next stage of our journey to the states has been seattle airport where our chartered mobile home waited for us to travel to mt baker. The first impression in the morning were snowfalls from last night mixed by morning sunbeams, so another great powderday at a gorgeous resort started. Further on, we visited the legendary mt. baker snowboardshop with its own hall of fame that stoked us by amounts of handsignated pictures from all the international snowboardlegends and the worlds best riders. It gave us the heebie jeebies!

One of my lifetime dreams - of course every snowboarders dream - came true, one week heliboarding in valdez alaska with H2O Guides. We were well received by great snowfalls after a long trip overseas and the forecast told us more powder. After two downdays we started the first trip with the ghettobird due to dozens of fresh powder and best weather followed by 4 more rock′n′roll days out in the ak mountains. Awesome trip!

The last Tourstop for this season got me to Warth at Vorarlberg that started off on the wrong foot because my copilot butchered up the navigation. The upshot was that we encountered the seasonally closed pass to warth, a uturn that enlarged our journey another 1,5 hours. However, we spend a really good time over there with a high level contest, a pretty apresski party and beautiful backcountry snowboarding on sunday. The weather conditions at CaD tourstop schmittenhoehe were the worst I ever had to handle. Due to solid snowfalls, icy wind and not at least really low temperatures, it worked my fingers to the bone! A good-humored team added by smiley faces let the day run down quick, and we got a delayed gratification by a sick aftercontestparty and bluebird the next day! watch the video

The basics for the big kickerline at the Betterpark in Ehrwald are made by snowmachines which produce suspicious snowcreatures at the beginning of each season. The Pleasure Jam ran down and my rollinprime; journey took me to the Kitzsteinhorn for the atomic catalogue shooting. Accommodation for these days was the national sports center at 2500 meters sea level which was simultaneously the base for our photosessions. Another roadtrip got me to the beautiful Traunsee in upper austria where James Young waited for me. He was on a trip through germany and i was pleased to take some sponsoring shots for Jetpilot with him. It was really amazing because the guys from the lake recieved me with two huge monster boats, one for the rider and the other for me to shoot from. I got one special shot in frame which is shotten directly out of the tube in the back of the boat, i almost touched James during focusing! Big up to James and Ralf, but especially to Kaili and the KGB Company for all the possibilities!

The 2009 season′s Waterski Masterships happened to take place at my homecable Kiefersfelden. Most impressive act were the Waterskipilots which got kicked out up to 60 Meters far by a 1,80 ramp and an inrun speed about 100km/h, watch out click here>>. Finally there was a waterskipyramide show including my two buddies Lil Miez and U-Man that made a great figure in it!

The Thulba Waterpark is very accessable for every kind of german states and cities so the jetpilot leaders chose this nice place for the Teamshooting 2009. Tobi Rittig is the youngest cable guy that runs a german waterpark so a perfect organization was guaranteed. I′ve never been there before so due to this I decided to get there one day earlier to get myself an all over impression to look for the nicest spots for shooting. Big up to all helpers, friends, riders and not at least to Ralf from Jetpilot for the organization of some really nice days out there!!!

On the road through Northern Germany we explored the area by bike. While cruising across Flensburg we suddenly saw a signboard "Denmark 1km", and so we rode absolute unexpected over the frontier. Normally I traverse across the boundary of Germany and Austria, but now I crossed one in the north of Germany, yeah. We also made a tour to St. Peter Ording.

We made a little roadtrip across Germany during the summer holidays. After the first stop in Berlin we drove towards the germany′s baltic coast. We hadn′t got an exactly idea where we want to go the next time and so we drove from Luebeck in a northward direction along the coast. We were in the search of a hotel, where we could rest, but it was very dfficult, because it rained very hard! After some houres and quite a few kilometres we were frustrated, because we didn't find a place too sleep. My last hope was to drive too Damp at the waterskilift and there we asked the locals for help. And they didn't disappointed us, Christoph pulled out his mobile and only a few calls later we had an accommodation. We only wanted to stay one or two days but it was a beautiful location and so we stayed for one week. winter vs summer part 1
At the end of may Benny and me made the same roadtrip like Dezember last year (see below 12.12.2008). I only wanted to see how the spots look like in sommer and afterwards I compared them with the photos I made in winter. At the same time I wanted to find some new locations, where I could shred, but this was quite difficult.

My next location was the waterpark Aschheim because my Homie Mr. Dominator aka Pink Nik aka Dominik Guehrs needed some Portraitshots for his Sponsors. My idea was a shooting from a very spectacular perspective, so we climbed up on the 8 meter high traverse of the cable machinery to realise this. The small focus while looking through the seeker of my camera added with my fear of heights made me feel really sick. Finally the pics are great, i came back to the ground alife and everybody had fun this day but me. click here>>

Spring Session at the Kaunertal Glacier was my final job for the 08/09 winterseason. The main difference to the years before was the kind of my job. This year i shooted catalogue pictures for outerwear and snowboardstuff 2010. Back in my living room Tyrol i stranded at the pitztal glacier. After one week of huge snowfall we had tons of powder around us, but in case of stormy winds the glacier resort opended just two pancake lifts. My friends Korny and Ole welcomed us and due to the shity weather we switched our location to the Riffelsee Mountains. We hiked the hole day and most of these hikes were fun. Others were not...you can see me break in a small ditch while cleaning my lenses with a huge smile in my face! click here>>

My last journey for now was to Lenzerheide in Switzerland, where i haven′t been for years. I visited two old friends of mine, Susan and Marco. They arrived one week earlier and so they had all the impressions and knowledge about the location there. With bluebird and fresh pow we started to the backcountry at Rothorn on Saturday morning and kicked powder runs till we were exhausted. Last energy on Sunday was spend in the park with a lot of chilling. I had a really good time over there and left the location with a crying and a laughing eye. Thanx a lot Susan and Marco!

The Hocheck near Oberaudorf has the longest floodlight run in germany and its near Munich so you can reach the spot in about an hour. That was more than a reason for us to take an afterwork trip out there and get an impression of the location. We were welcomed by sick dump and we were stoked by afterwork powder runs. Our next trip took us into the middle of nowhere near Fischbachau, not a regular place to go snowboarding. This location is the backyard of the Markhausers′ farm where three guys build their own shred by wood they take out of their own forest during summer. Heise got an enourmous set up out there but see yourself. They gave us the opportunity to jib and shoot there. Finally the winter is back! After there was much snow at the weekend, the Thursday was the best! Within of 24 hours the snow was falling on an average of 60cm snow. On Wednesday the meteorologists said that there would be Bluebird and so I decided to not go to work, to go powdern. When I saw the kicker, which was full of snow and looked virgin, I good the idea to use it for some good pictures. But this time not for some action pictures, but for an atmospheric picture. click here>>
After I had fun on the mountain, I looked forward to meet my friend Nic in the evening at Munich. He chose some locations, where we could make some action photos. We tested all the places and decided us on the Maximilianeum (state parliament of Bavaria). Pug Dora posed for us in different outfits. That was the first try to take some fashion photos with a dog. That was a hard work, because young pugs have their own mind and they are very active dogs. That means, that they disobey to their master and they run constant out of the photo to go playing. But the shape of Dora isn′t the best, so after one our her battery was empty and she slept very well. It was very funny and we could take some good pictures. click here>>

Watersports Jansen Photoshooting for Jetpilot and Obrien. This event was planed very spontaneous, within of two weeks Ralf could fetch all team riders from Germany to Bavaria, to take some catalogue pictures for the new Obrien boards and the Jetpilot clothes 2009. The blasting of the 50 years old AGFA building. That was the most spectacular blasting in Munich, because buildings must not blow up within the middle. The building was 52 m tall and so it was impossible to clear it away, because of the dust and noise pollution and therefore they blew it up carefully with 125 kg explosive. click here>>
